Dirty Bones (Halloween Treat)

These easy treats start with four easily found ingredients: Pepperidge Farms “Pirouette” cookies, marshmallows, Wilton Candy Melts, and cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

  • 12 Pirouette French Vanilla cookies (Pepperidge Farms), snapped in half
  • 48 marshmallows, rolled between palms to deflate a bit
  • White candy coating, melted
  • 1/4 cup of prepared cinnamon sugar

Method

Step 1

Preparation: Cut or poke a hole in two marshmallows.

Step 2

Insert a marshmallow on either end of a cookie half.

Step 3

Dip each marshmallow into melted candy coating so it extends onto the cookie (this prevents the marshmallow from sliding off).

Step 4

Immediately dip ends into cinnamon sugar and sprinkle a little onto the surface of the coating to create “dirt”.

Step 5

Cool on wax paper. Store at room temperature in a covered container.
