My favorite although infrequent breakfast drink as a child was strawberry milk. As I recall, it was a powdered mix that Mom stirred into warm milk. So pretty to look at and delicious too. It seems odd that I remember strawberry milk all these years because it also has a really gross memory associated with it. Stop reading here and skip to the recipe if you are easily grossed out.
One morning I drank my cup of warm strawberry milk and hurried down the snowy driveway when all of a sudden I hurled the strawberry milk. It was so weird. I felt fine, yet I just threw up pink milk into the white snow. I remember staring at it and thinking how pretty it was before rushing to the bus in the distance. Funny how things like that stay with us.

Scooping out some white chocolate chips. This sweetens the drink. Personally, I like it without the white chocolate. People like options so this is the option.
Ingredients
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk
- 1 TB strawberry gelatin powder
- Garnish: sliced strawberry
Method
Step 1
Stir together chips, milk, and powdered gelatin in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2
Stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Pour into an 8 oz mug and float a strawberry slice on top.
Step 4
NOTE: If you want to make the gelatin after a TB has been removed, just reduce the liquid by a 1/4 cup.
